Before calling Cypress Builders, the best thing to do is start collecting pictures of kitchen features you like. When we come for the design visit, we'll have a visual base for how you would like the kitchen to look.

We're happy to work with the materials and fixtures you buy, but we believe strongly in using only high quality whenever possible. It will look more attractive, work better, and last much longer than inferior options.

Design-build simply means that the same company is responsible for both the design and execution of the construction. We prefer design-build projects, but are also available to work with existing plans.

The easiest way to save money on a renovation project by Cypress Builders is proper preparation. By going over details and allowances, you will have a comprehensive idea of cost.

  2. Determine a budget. How much are you willing to invest in the project? Room additions vary in cost between $175.00 to $250.00 a square foot depending on finishes

  1. A. Architect versus a full service company An architect usually costs between $50.00 to $200.00 per hour and you own the plans. Cypress Builders, Inc. will provide design services and take your project from conception to completion.
  2. Is the project legal? Does it meet local codes, setbacks, lot to building ratios, etc?
  3. C. Does design add value to the house? In other words, design the addition to match the architecture of the house.
  4. D. Designers can be confused by your descriptions, but not by your pictures Collect design elements from magazines, photos of neighbor’s homes, etc.
  1. Remodeling is potentially a very stressful endeavor. Be concerned if the salesperson tells you that your construction is going to be the most dust-free, stress-free experience
  2. A successful remodeling project is based on a foundation of trust and teamwork. Thoroughly research the company you are planning on doing business with i.e. referrals, suppliers, BBB.
  3. Ask Questions. Use lists to ask questions. Remember that information is power.
